Hollyness is a two-and-a-half-year-old girl from Iringa. When she first came to Sibusiso, due to her Hydrocephalus condition, she couldn’t use the right part of her body, especially her hand. She couldn’t crawl with her knees but used her butt to shuffle around as she couldn’t stand or walk.

Just one month after being enrolled in the three-month program, she can now crawl using her knees and has improved sensation in her lower limbs, allowing her to stand whilst holding on to things. This also allows her to walk with a walking frame and she also seems more active in using her right hand in performing several tasks.

She has an active personality and always engages in interaction, bringing joy to the other children in her dormitory. Hollyness is also eager to learn: she can count from 1 to 20 and identify number 1 to 5, perfectly pronouncing all vowels.

She is doing well and continuing with therapy. Her parents are happy with her progress.
